Every month, members from the Churches Together in Caerleon group dress up and visit the local schools to present an Open The Book assembly.
Open the Book is a nationwide project which offers primary school children an opportunity to hear the major stories of the Bible.
Our local team of Christians come from the Lodge Hill Evangelical Church, the Roman Catholic church in Caerleon, the Ponthir Baptists and the Anglican churches.
Church Together in Caerleon run a wide range of events, including quiet days, joint services (particularly at Pentecost), a Children in Need quiz night and supporting initiative such as settlement of Syrian refugee families.
